Bio
I began my undergraduate work as a painting major at Washington University in St. Louis, School of Art. After spending a summer studying painting and drawing in Florence, Italy, I was inspired to take some time to live and to explore the world. I moved to Los Angeles and worked at LA County Museum of Art on the weekends, an Art Supply store during the week, and assisted muralist Byron Peck painting a mural through the organization, SPARC. While in Los Angeles I participated in several group shows and had a solo show at Highways Gallery.

In Fall 2003 I transferred to San Francisco Art Institute to finish my undergraduate work as an interdisciplinary major. While in San Francisco I continued to show my work in local group shows and around the country. After graduating with a BFA in 2005 I was immediately accepted to a six-month internship at Women's Studio Workshop in Rosendale, NY. There I studied silk screening, letterpress, and papermaking, while maintaining the studios and assisting the artists-in-residence and staff. Since then I have assisted several artists and curators in Washington DC and the San Francisco Bay Area while continuing to volunteer regularly at Pyramid Atlantic Art Center and the San Francisco Center for Book Arts.

I currently reside in Chicago where I attend Columbia College of Art working towards my MFA in Interdisciplinary Book and Paper Arts.
